Great Sauk Trail will now be a state trail
During the DNR's meeting, the board also designated the proposed Great Sauk Trail as a state trail. One section of the trail will extend from Sauk City to the southern edge of Devil’s Lake State Park through the Sauk Prairie Recreation Area and could someday connect with the 400 State Trail in Reedsburg. There still are plans to blacktop the trail.
